Q.

My breast milk supply was fine and sufficient for my baby till 2 days back, suddenly from yesterday the supply is low and my baby is not getting enough milk as he keeps sucking his hands after feeding as well as getting hungry more often than before. My breasts are also not feeling full or heavy before feeding. What could be the cause for sudden decrease in bm supply and how can I increase it?

A. Hello good afternoon !! Diet , intake of water, fluids impacts lactation. While baby growing demands more milk than earlier insufficiency of milk supply happens so include lactating foods in regular diet. Milk, Diary products, rusk, bread toast, papaya, chikoo, bottle gourd, Poppy seeds, garlic, mutton kheema, garlic milk, fennel seeds, saunf water. Give direct feed the more baby latches the more milk produces.
