Q.

my boy took 9 months vaccine today in govt hospital i.e measles and rubella mr1 ,but in the vaccination chart of private hospitals it includes Mmr1, i.e measles, mumps and rubella..now my question is whats the differences in both vaccines and can I give my boy mumps vaccine singlely..

A. Vaccination for children can be considered in the current situation as the cases of covid are less to some extent . In such condition most important Vaccination should be given on priority which your doctor will decide. Influenza vaccine should be given to children afdbove 6 months of age in this season if not given to avoid unnecessary hospitalisation and other risk factors because of flu infection
