Q.

My boy just turned 5 month old. Had a cold few days back. Has been peeing less. Yesterday peed only 3 times and I saw orange dot on his nappy with very little pee. Today peed normally 4 times till afternoon. Then after an hour another orange dot with little yellowish pee. Is he dehydrated? M feeding more frequently now. What else should I do?

A. I have not introduced water to my baby yet, infact nothing except breastmilk. Can he be given water before he completes 6 months? If yes, how much and how frequently it should be given to a 5 month old?

A. new breastfeeding at more frequent intervals because the minimum urination should be more than six or seven times per day and if it is less that means the child is having dehydration
