A. It's important to monitor your baby’s growth and make sure she's receiving adequate nutrition. Since your baby was born weighing 2.735 kg, and now at 5 months, weighs only 5 kg, it's a bit concerning that she isn't gaining weight at the expected rate. Here's what you can do:
1. Consult a Pediatrician: The first step is to consult your pediatrician. They will assess her overall health, growth patterns, and may suggest a few tests to rule out any underlying health conditions like gastrointestinal issues, nutrient absorption problems, or metabolic conditions. 2. Feeding Schedule: Breastfeeding/Formula: Ensure that she's feeding well, either through breast milk or formula. Babies need frequent feeds during the first year, at least 4-6 times a day. If you're breastfeeding, check if she's latched well and is feeding long enough to get both foremilk and hindmilk. If you're giving formula, make sure it’s the right type for her age. Some babies need additional caloric intake, which can be provided with a doctor’s advice. 3. Introduce Solid Foods (if not already): At 6 months, it’s recommended to start introducing solid foods like purees of fruits, vegetables, rice, oats, and dals, if you haven’t already. You can also try higher-calorie options like mashed avocado or sweet potato. 4. Check for Feeding Issues: Reflux or digestive issues: Sometimes babies may not feed well due to reflux, colic, or other gastrointestinal issues. If your baby seems uncomfortable after feeding or if you notice spitting up frequently, discuss it with your doctor. Allergy or Intolerance: Sometimes food intolerances or allergies (like to cow’s milk protein) can hinder weight gain. Discuss with your pediatrician if this could be a concern. 5. Monitor Developmental Milestones: While weight is an important indicator, ensure she is also hitting other developmental milestones for her age, such as head control, rolling over, etc. If she’s making progress in these areas, the slow weight gain might just be a temporary phase. 6. Encourage Feeding: Try feeding in a calm environment, avoid distractions, and offer smaller, more frequent meals if she has a small appetite.
Weight gain issues can sometimes be resolved with proper feeding and care, but it’s always important to follow up with a healthcare provider to rule out any medical concerns and get the best advice tailored for your baby.

A. See all in all your child should be 2 1/2 kg more than the birth weight so this is little less accordingly if you evaluate but it can work over the period if you start giving food to the child after completing the time of six months weight would be better right now if you are only giving exclusive breastfeeding check with your doctor if you can give two or three times formula for better weight gain
