hi doctor, my baby was born on aug 28th,2024 and now she is almost completing her 5th month and her weight is 5.740 gms.my baby weight when she born was 2.4 kgs. now she is 5.740 gms is she in correct weight doctor ..??

Namaste Mom, Monthly weight gain is expected in the range of 400 gm to 1 kg and by age of 4 to 6 months they double their birth weight. now you can introduce them to wenaing foods were in you could liquid consistency foods and gradually porgress to semi solid and mashed foods

Your child has more than double the birth rate by completing the term of five months which is very very healthy and there is nothing for you to be worried or concerned about the weight of the child as it is going perfectly good as it is supposed to be as per age
