Q.

My baby was born in 34 weeks birth weight 2.1kg on 19 feb 2022 she is 1 month old now she is not gaining weight and she is suffering from jaundice her bilirubin is 16.8 her skin is yellow , so local doctor prescribe to test her serum Alkaline phosphatase (i.e 428) is it something serious? what to do now?

A. A proper assessment is required here so regarding this it is more favourable to contact your local doctor and accordingly he will guide in a proper manner. If any more quefrries you can take online consxultation on the platform for a detailed discussion .

A. Hello Preterm child takes a little longer time to gain appropriate weight according to the age but if you start giving formula willing to the child along with breast feeding that is going to hell and for jaundice you should keep your child and indirect Sun rays for about 30 minutes every day that is going to head quite a lot
