You can also sing songs and talk out loud as you go about the day's tasks to get your little one hearing more words and sentences. If you still have concerns about your child not reaching speech or language milestones, consult your pediatrician.A baby who doesn't respond to sound or vocalize should be checked by a doctor right away. But often, it's hard for parents to know if their child is taking a bit longer to reach a speech or language milestone, or if there's a problem.Talk directly to your toddler, even if just to narrate what you're doing.Use gestures and point to objects as you say the corresponding words. ... Read to your toddler. ... Sing simple songs that are easy to repeat.Give your full attention when talking to them.
