Q.
my baby suffering with cold and cough since 3 days giving him kufril ls 6 drops twice a day but at night his nose congestion do not let him sleep what should I do for that.?

Cough and Cold should be ideally treated only after a proper clinical examination by a doctor.it may be any infective or allergic.it is not so related to food items like banana etc.but seasonal changes may aggravate. if with fever too ,calpol can be given three times a day.give steam and nasoclear drops can also be used multiple times. Cough Syrup or nebulization should be given according to the type of cough .self medication is not advisable. if the cough is productive you can give kufril-ls syrup for now .avoid refrigerated items and give only simple home-made preparations as required.child will gradually begin to eat as symptokms resolve.at times coughing may take more time to resolve.

Steam along with other home remedy like maintain baby temperature will help . Other medications like paracetamol for fever can be given if any fever .

Cold is most of the time because of some allergy or viral infection and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough and throat irritation and usually associated . Treatment consists of antihistamines antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine .ku steam inhalation would be beneficial . Medicines like febrrx plus / sinarest / Ascoril flu can be used in a proper dose for 3-5 days as per the symptoms . Steam inhalation is very helpful .
