Q.

my baby 's umbilical cord fell on the 10th day after her birth. Now she is 8 months old.But still a small portion of the umbilical cord is in her belly button. it is dried and black in colour..her belly button looks very normal and no infection is there.why the portion is still on her belly button

A. it is the dead part of the umbilical chord and no treatment is required in its removal and gradually it will totally wane off and dry off and then will go away

A. hello it is a long time and it would better be checked with your doctor and maybe she will be able to help you out on the same because it would require a physical examination to know what exactly it is so please check with the pediatrician
