Q.

My baby’s birth weight was 3.515 kg and now he turned 1 year and 1 month . What is the normal weight for him???

A. Babies double their birth weight by 6 months and triple it by 1st birthday. So typically over 9 kgs is considered normal. After 1st year of life, growth slows down compared to newborn days, they put on 1-2 kgs each year.

A. Dear parent, if your baby’s birth weight was 3.5 kg, then weight after a year should be around 10.5 kg. Baby should triple the birth weight by one year or earlier.
