NikithaMom of a 10 yr 9 m old boy4 years agoA. hello yes it is normal and babies birth weight will reduce initially and then the baby will start gaining and if the baby is gaining a minimum of six hundred grams to 800 grams per month then it is a good weight gain and is absolutely nothing to worry about also
Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children4 years agoA. No problem. After birth, Babies tend to lose the extra fluid during the initial few days which will cause a 5 to 10% drop from the birth weight. After 15 days or so they will start regaining the weight. Your baby should be peeing anywhere between six to ten times a day which means the baby is taking feeds properly.
