Q.
my baby now 3 months by feb 18 has not passed stool for 4 days..she isually goes by 2 days.. as she hasnt, she is crying all the day and not feeding properly. i recently shiftrd to husbands home. what is the solution for her to make her poop.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and also when initially the semi solid fodfod has been started after 6 months .
you can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme preparations in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age . Medications are required but it should be given only in medical supervision .

It can be more than 7 times per day also and sometimes the child will not pass stool for 10 days also.
The most important thing is the consistency of the stool and if it is Semi sxolid to solid or semi liquid then there is no need to worry about the frequency as well as colour as well as the smell of the stool
Also straining and crying while passing urine and stool is very normal.
the crying of the child is due to colic pain and not due to constipation
