my baby is vaccinated in government hospital for free of cost they said influenza vaccine is not available here you should go to private.somebody saying it is no necessary if it necessary how many doses and in which months y it is not available in government

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Influenza vaccine or the flu vaccine is basically a vaccine which protects against different strains of flu viruses including swine Flu virus which causes symptoms specially in children because of less immunity.
Though it is not a mandatory vaccine but it should be given to every child to protect against different flu infection which is very common every year . this vaccine is given afteer 6 months of age and initially two doses are given one month apart then every year single dose is required .
It is not documfented but still studies suggest that to some extent it may give partial protection against covid infection .
