But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also be ruled out .
Antipyretic like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamic acid are usually given to reduce fever . Cold sponging properly with lukewarm water is also helpful .
Doctor consultation should be done if symptoms like excessive irritability dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .

I am a surprise that even after six days your doctor has not advised to go for a blood test because when the fever does not subside within three days the doctors normally advised to go for a blood test in this case if you havenโt got it done as of now I would recommend you to go ahead with a Blood test for the child๏ฟผWrite Your Answer Here
