Q.
my baby is suffering from cough and cold from one week. on cusulting doctor we have her fluvant and cetnaz. but still cough and cold not slowing down.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should cxbe given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

sir ,such viral infections take time to get cured.
please Maintain proper hydration.
give Luke warm water with pinch of salt and Turmeric powder, Tulsi leaves in 2 tbsp quantity every 2 hours.
you can also give mixture of honey +ginger juice+ Tulsi leaves.
