Q.

my baby is preterm 35 weeks. now he is 5 month old. But he is not able to control his head properly, only slightly can. Is preterm babies head control be late more than 5 months??

A. neck holding of the child should be present by 4 months to maximum 5 months of age. regular massage of the back as wedll as the neck will help in strengthening the muscles of this area. if neck holding and head holding is not proper by the end of 5 months it is important to meet the doctor for examinatiodn to find the cause of delayed milestones
