my baby is one year old. she has constipation. she pushes very hard when stool passes and only one hard stone like poop goes. sometimes with blood stains. what can we do for constipation? pls do reply.

A. Include banana which is ripe in baby's regular diet . An unripe or under ripe banana can cause constipation. So choose the banana carefully. Soak dry grapes in water at night and squeeze the grapes next morning. Give this juice to the baby. But if u r noticing blood in stools u should consult your pediatrician once. He may prescribe a laxative to soften the stools.
