Q.
My baby is having heavy cold.. She loves banana mch..she eats two banana a day when she is healthy.. Can I give banana according to her demand or totally I should avoid..as elderly people says it causes pneumonia when given during cold..is it true?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cold is a viral illness and symptoms could be sneezing, running nose, cough sore throat, nasal congestion and fever. Treatment consists of antihistamines antipycretics analgesics and decongestants . steam inhalation would be beneficial . Medicines like sinarest/wikoryl / Alex cold can be given in a proper dose according to the weight for 3-5 days as per the symptoms . you can give banana no problem

Jasmine KaurMom of a 9 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. Hello dear parent, as elderly people a sa that it should not be given during cold, then it is right upto an extent. You should also give 1 small size banana in the day time and another same size banana after few hours. So that she is able to digest.
