Q.
My baby is having fever/cold since past 3 days.. started Antibiotic Augmentin duo from yesterday night.. His temperatures are 99-100 but his head & upper body is too hot.. pls suggest me how can i reduse body heat.. ( even after Sponging with warm water) TIA

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. Hello..give medication as per prescribed dose and at proper adviced time interval .
Give tepid sponging to bring down the temperature if fever ..Always use room temperature water/tap water..not cool, because shivering can actually raise your baby's temperature rather than help bring it down.
The child should also be encouraged to drink fluids to replace those lost through sweating.
