Weaning food can be started from 5-6 months of age and in that initially in the stage 1 you can introduce some semi solid food to the baby like Banana mango plum boiled Apple and then gracdually you can start with some Puri of carrot potato other foods which can be given are porridge of suji e sabudana can be prepared in breast milk or formula milk.
initially you can start with one or two tsp which can be gradually increasved up till at least three meals in a day

U To start with Dal and rice water for at least 3 to 4 days to begin with then you can introduce different kind of vegetable purees fruits also you can introduced to the child after that then slowly gradually go ahead with soups porridge khichadi mashed banana mashed sweet potato mash potato all these things can be given but make sure when you introduce food you do introduce good amount of water as well
