Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy3 years agoA. is normal gastrocolic reflex is very normal in children. in this phenomena the child is having semi solid to solid stool after every episode of of food / milk intake. x if the growth / weight gain of the child is proper there is no need to worry about this phenomena. usually this phenomena decreases with increasing age of the child

As long as your baby is active and normal, showing no discomfort symptoms like blood or foul smell in the stools then nothing to worry. Continue to exclusively breastfeed your baby well on demand. Use Babyhug tummy roll on. Speak to your doctor for further advice.
