Q.

my baby is five months old and my son has dengue. He keeps having fever again and again. When I give him medicines, it subsides. His platelet count has also decreased. He was admitted for four days. What else should I do now?

A. dengue is a viral infection. the treatment consist only of symptomatic relief for the child. you can give only paracetamol for decreasing fever along with body sponge. if it is diagnosed you have to go for blood investigation either into or three days to see for decrease in platelet. no specific treatment is given for dengue and the doctor will wait till the body recoversd from dengue by itself. very important to maintain hydration by giving regular water fluids and small amount of easily digestible food. please remain in contact with your doctor for more information and any confusion

A. So till the time the platelet count does not increase properly it would be difficult for you to manage the situation so ask the doctor what kind of supplement would be required what do you need to do more into the diet for better healing also some people say that papaya leaf juice is supposed to be very good so check with your doctor if you can give that as well
