A. If your 11-month-old baby is experiencing persistent cough, it could be due to a variety of reasons such as a common cold, allergies, or a respiratory infection. To help alleviate the cough, ensure your baby is well-hydrated and give warm fluids like water or mild soup. Use a humidifier in the room to keep the air moist and reduce throat irritation. Gentle chest rubs with baby-safe ointments (like Vicks Baby Rub) may also provide relief. If the cough lasts more than a few days, is accompanied by fever, or the baby has trouble breathing, it is essential to consult a pediatrician to rule out any serious issues like bronchiolitis or pneumonia.
