Q.

My baby is active only for 10 mins during breastfeeding. After that she sleeps . We tried to do different techniques . Rubbing behind her ear and tickling in feet and even beating in the feet.. if we do that she sucks for 1 min and slkeeps again. We tried changing hrr diaper in mid feed. Then also she stays active for max 5 mins. How to keep her awake during feeding ? It is very diffucult to keep her awake during feed or should we feed her only wen she cries? We tried breast compression also . That also works for2 mins. Are all the newborns are like this ?

A. It is normal for a child they don’t stay up for a longer duration when they are sleeping in with feed it happens if they sleep really very quickly so it’s okay when the child will be hungry child wake up again i understand your dilemma but honestly rubbing the ear but hitting or tickling on the feet is not a good idea it actually jolts the brain of the child which is not good
