ExpertDr.Rasika ThosarPaediatric Intensivist4 years agoA. its ok maintain calm environment, dim lights at night even during feeding. keep the day activity in bright light , do minimum interaction with baby at night. swaddle well till 3 months of age. make use of her favourite blanket/ toy, so they feel secure.

Author of questionGuardian of 4 children4 years agoA. Thanks for the replies! Dr, She doesn’t like to be swaddled, she was comfortable with swaddle for about 20-25 days or a month, but after that she cries when we swaddle her and we tried loose and tight swaddle both

Yes You have heard it right at this age kids mostly sleep for 16 to18 hours in a day and sometimes even more but if your child is sleeping about for 12 to 13 hours also then it is okay slowly gradually as the age will increase your child will sleep more because some kids sleep less in the early days but properly later on but that’s normal
