Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough and Cold should be treated only after a proper examination by a doctor after diagnosis.it may be any infection or allergy.it is not so related to food items but seasonal changes may aggravate.
if with fever too ,calpol can be given three times a day.give steam inhalation to relieve blocked nose and nasoclear drops can also be used multiple times.
Cough Syrup or nebulization should be given according to the type of cough .self medication is not advisable. if the| cough is productive you can give ascoril-ls syrup for now only n continue in proper doses only after doctor's guidance.avoid refrigerated items and give only simple home-made preparations as required.child will gradually begin to eat as symptoms resolve.

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl3 years agoA. U Can give indirect steam to the child you can also give nebulisation to the child these are the best thing that you can go for if a child is suffering with cold and cough but for proper treatment is always the best thing to consult a paediatrician
