Mom of a 8 yr old girl2 years ago
Q.

My baby is 8 days old. I wanted to understand how to check if my milk production is enough for him? He takes the feed every 2 hrs and my breast leaks all the time if I don’t feed him in that duration. The flow of my milk is not fast. How do I increase my milk production?

A. Hello dear parent! As long as your baby is feeding well, passing adequate urine, gradually gaining weight like 400gms to 500gms in a month then your baby is feeding well. Continue to exclusively breastfeed. Keep Babyhug tummy roll on handy. Include methi, roasted makhana, jeera, saunf in your diet

A. Check on baby pee count which should be more than 6 per day. If the baby is passing enough urine and gaining adequate weight i.e atleast 300 to 500 g per month then the baby is getting enough. leaking breast is sign that u have good milk supply don't worry
