Q.

My baby is 7 month old.. I'm exclusively breast feeding the baby. I have started solids from 6th month but breast feeds does not drop. I had a vanginal delivery. I did not get periods yet. I got spotting 4 months back.. did not get anything after that Is this normal? When can I expect my periods?

A. the lactational amenorrhea may continue 6 months to 1 year but still you must adopt some contraceptive measure For further advice it is advisable to consult your local doctor for appropriate examination if there is need for investigations also then only proper treatment can be given to you o . A. Hi Yes it is absolutely normal whatever you are saying about your period a lot of women do not get it for 1 to 1 1/2 years also sometimes but that’s normal don’t worry about that you start with semisolid that’s good continue breastfeeding as well because initially kids do not accept food properly so breastfeeding or any other milk that you are giving plays a very important role
