POOJA KOTHARIExpecting Mom due in 1 month2 months agoA. If your six-month-old baby has developed red rashes with small bumps all over the body, even after using Calosoft lotion and Atarax drops, it could be due to heat rash, allergy, or irritation from a new product, fabric, or sweat, especially in hot or humid weather.
Here’s what you can do:
Stop any new products recently introduced (like soaps, lotions, oils, or clothes). Keep baby’s skin cool and dry. Use light cotton clothes and avoid overheating. Continue Calosoft lotion if prescribed, but if the rash is worsening, consult your pediatrician—they might suggest a mild steroid cream or a soothing cream like Cetaphil DAM or Desowen (only under medical advice). Avoid using powders or harsh soaps. Bathe the baby in lukewarm water with a few drops of coconut oil or oatmeal bath to soothe the skin.
If there is fever, excessive crying, pus, or peeling, see the doctor urgently, as it could indicate an infection or allergic reaction needing medical treatment.
