my baby is 6 month 10 days old can I give him cow or buffalo milk as he is on formula ..i want to increase his weight

ExpertDr. Mohammed imranPaediatrician3 years agoA. no wait for 1 year Cows milk or buffalo s milk can be given from 1 year of age till then it's advisable to get ve breast milk or formula feed you can also add sugar or dry fruit powder in the milk after 1 year

It is recommended to introduce cow or buffalo milk in the baby's diet from 1 year onwards as by then their immunity and digestive system develop for other types of milk. For healthy weight gain, you can now start feeding foods like lentil puree, mashed banana, apple, pear and carrot puree, ragi and sooji porridge, home made cerelac, etc.
