Q.

My baby is 6 month 10 days old and shows all the signs for readiness of starting solids, today i have to give her first solid, please suggest what should i feed her for the very first time. she was on exclusive breastfeeding till now, so have to start water also how much ml per day should i start from today?

A. Namaste Mom As this is the first time you are giving anything apart from breast feeding would be ideal to start with liquid consistency foods so be it dal water or rice water you can also opt for vegetable soup or even fresh fruit juice start with a few tsp only or say 15 to 30 ml one thing at a time and once they accept it gradually increases the quantity variety and number of meals once they are comfortable with the liquid foods you can move to semi solid and mashed foods
