my baby is 5 month 23 days old still doesn't get head control, his head is lagging while he try to lift his head

A. Initially, newborns have very little head control and need full support. 1 to 2 months: Babies can lift their heads briefly and turn them from side to side while lying on their tummies 3 to 4 months: By this age, most babies can hold their heads up steadily when supported in a sitting position and may do a “mini pushup” during tummy time
