Q.

my baby is 47 days old.. her born weight is 2.5kg then she lost 500gms.. now slowly she is gaining weight 2.3kg. is this normal??

A. yes it's normal Weight gain depeens upon birth weight and maturity of the baby if the baby is active and feeding adequately don't worry about it feed for 10 to 15 min from each side

A. Babies are born with some extra fluid, so it's normal for them to drop a few ounces when they lose that fluid in the first few days of life. A healthy newborn is expected to lose 7% to 10% of the birth weight, but should regain that weight within the first 2 weeks or so after birth.
