Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy4 years agoA. you have to give only demand feeding to the child that is whenever the child feels hungry you can give milk to the child and the child will take the milk according to the need and then will leave the milk. if the child is taking more milk you can offer milk in more quantity with intermittent burping . there is no need to to go for hourly basis as a less quantity basis
first of all meet your doctor and get the weight of the child assessment done.
if the weight gain of the child is within normal limits as well as the urine output is normal then do not worry about the feedingg pattern, the sleeping pattern and the crying pattern of the child.
your doctor is the best person to tell you whether any outside milk is required or not until that time kindly continue only breastfeeding.
