POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy5 months agoA. It is common for babies to develop a small lump at the injection site after vaccinations, especially the DPT vaccine. This lump can last for several weeks to even a couple of months and usually isn’t a cause for concern if it’s not red, painful, growing, or associated with fever. Since your baby’s lump has been there for a month but is not worsening, it is likely a normal post-vaccine reaction. Continue gentle massage during bath time or apply a warm compress occasionally. However, if the lump becomes hard, red, painful, or starts increasing in size, consult your pediatrician to rule out any infection or abscess.
