my baby is 3 mm months and 21 days old and he is not passing stool for 7-8 days. this is happening more often nowadays please let me know if it's normal and if not then what should be done since he is purely on breastfeed.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and also when initially the semi solid food has been started after 6 monthhcs .
you can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme preparations in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avofided before 1 year of age . Medications are required but it should be given only in medical supervision .
