Q.
my baby is 3 and half months old and she got the cold. she is snoring lightly and apart from snoring she is active and she is able to do all kinds of activities without being uneasy but today she is not able to swallow her medicine please suggest

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. nasal saline drops can be given again and again to the child because it is salt water which will help in decreasing the nasal blockage by clearing the mucus
try to prevent temperature variations around the child which is the most common cause of cough and cold in small children.can give indirect steam inhalation .
anti-cold medicines at this age have got side effects so can be given only after medical consultation.
for fever and pain givce paracetamol
continue the regular diet which is being given to the child

See little bit of issues can be there when the cold is this it’s very normal but if the child is unable to take the medicines then you can check with the doctor if your child is having some issue in the throat and also because usually throat infection is there or pain in the throat is there sometimes it’s difficult for the child to take a medicine or even the feed that you are giving
