Q.

my baby is 29 days old he was born prematurely 35 +4 days. he has bilrubin level spikes to 22 and was in intensive phototherapy. during that he was screened for g6PD that result came today as postive. can someone please explain what is g6pd and what do we do for that or did it come Postive because of bilrubin level.

A. it is glucose 6 phosphate dehydrogenase enzyme deficiency not because of serum bilirubin please discuss the matter with your doctor things which to be avoided for the baby o k o k
