If you still breastfeeding the child then maybe it is just an addiction to the breastfeeding and nothing else because kids with growing age get a little more stubborn to breastfeeding if they are not fed on any other milk from the age of 12 to 16 months or so so I think it’s probably just the same reason not necessarily hunger
