child's rate of growth is also dependent on genetics or how his parents have been in their childhood, parents body frame.
for healthy weight child should be having a balanced diet having all the food groups
childs daily diet should have:
cereals starch like rice wheat corn , sago, Limited amount of bread
at least 2 serving of good protein like pulses, beans, eggs, soya, fish, chicken, meat
variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables and green leafy vegetables
energy dense fruits and vegetables like banana , custard apple, Chiku, sweet potato more frequently
Nuts like almond ,dry fruits, peanuts
at least half litre full fat milk which also includes Milk products like 1-2 glasses of milk and rest as paneer, cheese, curd
add ghee on top of food to provide more energy.
