Q.

my baby is 17 months old . my doc gave her MCV today..... was it necessary ???? in my knowlegde it should be given at 2yrs of age. kuch harm to ni hoga???

A. meningococcal vaccine is an optional vaccine. it is usually given either at 9 months of age and one year of age as a a 2 dosage regimen or you can god for a single dosage after two years of age. your doctor is the best person to tell you whether it is required by your child or not. my personalx advice would be that if you can afford the vaccine you should get the child vaccinated for any disease for which vaccine is available
