Q.
My baby is 14 months old. He has a habit to put everything in mouth what ever he gets from the floor or what so ever he gets even little insects like ant or Coachroach also. kindly suggest how the habit gets removed from the child as it is getting much annoyed for me day by day.

Really sorry to say but there is no other choice that to look out and prevent your baby from doing this.. at this age children are very curious and will put everything in their mouth.. we need to take care and maintain hygiene around them.. one possible help can be providing them with a clean play area and toys that amuse them.. in other words.. keep them busy..

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Thumb sucking in infants is a very normal phenomenon and its called mouthing reflex and nothing to be worried about it just maintain proper hygiene and with time this thing will go .
In the toddlers thumb sucking habit is also seen many a times which could be phycological cause and feeling of insecurity or some stress . Just try to make thev child comfortable and divert in some activities also spend good time with the child . i
In extreme case withdrawal can be tried with some solution available which are bitter like femite lotion . It needs to be applied locally .
