A. Loss of appetite is normal for a child after fever and any illness. In breast fed or formula fed babies Continue breastfeeding or bottle feeding. For an older baby who has started solids, offer clear liquids and foods with high water content like juices (diluted to half water and half juice), soups.

A. There are many reasons infants may be finicky about food. They may be teething, tired, not yet ready for solids, or just don't need as much food as you're feeding them. Familiar foods provide your baby comfort in stressful, busy times. Although picky eating may linger awhile, it rarely lasts.Fill your 11-month-old's diet with a variety of whole grains, fruit, vegetables, dairy products -- cheese and yogurt -- and protein -- beef, chicken, fish, tofu. Offer a snack in the morning and afternoon to give your baby enough energy to make it through the day.
