Q.

my baby is 1 yr old. he has constipation docter has prescribed laxolite syrup 7.5 ml. I am putting from 5 days. now constipation has not reduced after 5 days of administration of medicine docter told if constipation doesn't come down put 10 ml of syrup. oats is helping relive a little is giving oats every day advised..

A. yes can continue and increase the dose of required The problem of constipation will decrease with proper diet modification that is plenty of water and fibre diet and try to give more papaya oats and fennel seeds water to the child. You may have to give a course of constipation medicine to the child to stabilize the child from the pain. Constipation usually decreases with increasing age of the child and medicines give only symptomatic relief.
