Q.
my baby is 1 yr 10 months old ..from two days he is getting fever at the middle of the night and even his eyes are red ,getting more water and eye pus .Morning because of sticky eyes he can't open his eyes properly..and he is also having cold and cough ..what medicine should I give him and why fever he is getting in the middle of the night??

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. the first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having.
give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food.
keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever
armpit temperature of hundred orx more is considered as fever
to body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water.
higher medicinesx (ibugesic / meftal-p) whether required or not will be told by the doctor.
