Q.

My baby is 1 year and 2 weeks old. He is still not started to walk. He stands with support but only for very short time and then he sits. He is only 8kgs, his birth weight is 3kg. what can I do to increase his weight and help him to walk? Is it normal ?

A. My son also wasn’t walking at one, our paediatrician told us that every child reaches this milestone at their own pace and mot to compare with other child. We encouraged lots and floor play and also used walker.

A. Maybe the weight is less and there could be little weakness in the legs which is why the child is unable to reach the milestone so currently I’m just going to advise you that you should get examined by the doctor because Vijay has not gained weight by the age of which is actually important to be seen
