A. It's great that your baby was using the potty from 10 months, but it's normal for toddlers to have regressions. Here are some possible reasons and solutions: Possible Reasons for Potty Refusal: Fear or Negative Experience – He may have had a discomforting experience, like constipation or a hard stool, making him afraid to sit. Independence Phase – At this age, toddlers start asserting their choices, including resisting things they previously did. Routine Change – Any change in routine (travel, illness, new environment) can impact potty habits. Distractions or Playtime Preference – He may not want to stop playing to use the potty. How to Encourage Him Again: ✅ Stay Calm & Positive – Avoid forcing him; instead, encourage and praise small efforts. ✅ Make It Fun – Give him a small toy, book, or sing a song while he sits. ✅ Try a Different Potty – If he is uncomfortable with the current potty, try a different style. ✅ Check for Discomfort – Ensure he’s not facing constipation or pain. Offer fiber-rich foods and hydration. ✅ Consistency is Key – Keep a regular potty schedule, especially after meals. If this continues for a long time or he shows distress, let me know.
