Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. it may take time.. continue medicj5ine Cough and Cold should be treated only after a proper examination by a doctor after diagnosis.it may be any infection or allergy.it is not so related to food items but seasonal changes may aggravate.maintain good immunity of the child with proper diet and supplements. if with fever too ,calpol can be given three times a day.give steam inhalation to relieve blocked nose and nasoclear drops can also be used multiple times. Cough Syrup or nebulization should be given according to the type of cough .self medication is not advisable. if the cough is productive you can give ascoril-ls or ambrodil syrup for now only n continue only after doctor's advice.avoid refrigerated items and give only simple home-made preparations as required.child will gradually begin to eat as symptoms resolve.
