Q.

My baby has developed a habbit of eating paper and cardboard. Is it related to any kind of deficiency?

A. Hello, It sounds like 'Pica'. Pica is an eating disorder that is quite common among young ones..The disorder is defined as persistent and compulsive cravings to eat nonfood items....It is due to calcium or iron deficiency in babies... please do check with your paedritician and management accordingly.

A. good evening this is usually not related to any deficiency but I would still recommend that for a few days you should try to give calcium supplement to the child on a daily basis to avoid any issue
