Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. when you take the temperature in the armpit of the child with the help of a digital thermometer and if it is 99 f (37 c) or more then you consider it as fever or when you take the temperature in the oral cavity of the child and if it is 100 degree fahrenheit then you consider it as fever and then paracetamol is given.
along with paracetamol continue body sponge and keep the child in light clothes.
paracetamol can be repeated maximum four times per day
teething is not directly related to digestion problem or any type of fever or loose motion or illness but during the teething process children place dirty things or dirty fingers in the oral cavity (this help in self soothing) which can lead to digestion problem or vomiting or loose motion or infection which can cause fever.
placing dirty fingers or dirty objects in the oral cavity continues for 2 years of age and inf this phase only the child falls ill during the teething phase
remember the fact that teething continues for 10 years but the child doesn't fall ill for 10 years
RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl1 Year agoA. Yes it is as the temperature touches 99° you know it is fever because the average value we count it as fever is 99°F is 99.4 that means a fever is rising you should give paracetamol and you can repeat it again after six hours if the fever rises
